Sensing Systems manufactures load cells and torque sensors.  We cover the whole range of applications, configurations and environments.  From standard, custom and OEM sensors to high capacity, non-magnetic and underwater models.  From one unit to tens of thousands and from cryogenic to high temperature environments. 

Our Capabilities differentiate us from all others.  These include:

Design Selection: 

• Our products include all of the standard load cells and torque sensors available.  From beam, “S” type and single point load cells to reaction and rotating torque sensors.
• Sensing Systems offers “Custom Off the Shelf” units.  We have accumulated hundreds of designs, covering all capacities and configurations that are matched to the application. 
•  We routinely transform machine parts into sensors.  This is accomplished by modifying the existing part or by manufacturing a new part identical in form and function to the original and adding measuring capability.

Delivery:

• Standard sensors will ship from stock or within one week.
•  When required, our “Custom Off the Shelf” sensors capability combined with our fast manufacturing cycle delivers units tailored to specific requirements in less than one week.
• Scheduled deliveries in weekly, monthly or yearly intervals are routinely met.

Capacity:

• Sensing Systems load cells can measure from a fraction of an ounce to 3,000,000 lbs all with NIST traceability.
• Our torque sensors vary in capacity from 1 oz.in to 360,000 lbs.in all with NIST traceability.

Environment:

• Sensing Systems has developed materials, processes and procedures to allow our sensors to operate accurately and reliably in harsh environments.
• Our products go where none have gone before.  Into the depths of oceans and high magnetic fields (up to 7 Tesla).  Underground and surrounded by corrosive fluids and in cryogenic and high temperature environments (- 452 ˚F to + 1,300 ˚F).

Systems:

• Sensing Systems will provide, setup and calibrate any instrument, amplifier or digital display with any of our sensors.  Calibration certificates document the performance of the complete system.
• System calibrations are also performed with customer supplied instruments, amplifiers or digital displays.
• We will integrate complete systems, sensors and electronics, to meet any monitoring and/or control application.  Outputs include analog voltage, current or any of the digital protocols.

• Sensing Systems products are used in every imaginable application.  We serve all industries where load and torque are measured.  This literally includes every sector of the economy.

Our engineers stand ready to discuss specific applications.  Our design and manufacturing capabilities allow us to meet customer’s requirements in the most efficient manner. 

We will recommend a standard sensor, a “Custom Off the Shelf” solution or modification of a customer’s part.  In some cases we recommend other companies’ products.  Our recommendation will be based on several variables including costs, quantities, delivery, and performance requirements.
